While sitting at my computer this morning, with my television on in the background tuned to the Today show on NBC, I hear the name Jake Brown. I know I should be used to it now, but I still laugh when I see a skateboarding story featured in the mainstream media. When I first started skateboarding the only time I would see skateboarding on television was the rare spot on Wide World of Sports or CBS Sports Spectacular, and of course the usual "fad" news coverage.Oh, how times have changed.
