Is Pink The New Black? Cool Girl Skateboards

Skateboarding has always had a lack of females, when I began skating in the 1970's there were very few girl skaters. Over the years female participation has steadily grown, and with companies like Cool Girl Skateboards, hopefully that growth will continue.

Besides offering skateboards designed for females, Cool Girl also sponsors Holly Lyons who last year was ranked #1 in the world for bowls by World Cup Skateboarding and ranked #2 for vert. For 2007 she's ranked #2 for bowls and #3 for vert. Holly has competed in the last 5 X Games. Other team members include Brittany Krause, Lexi Barclay, and Alize Montes.
